As of July 1, 2008, all NYC foodservice establishments were mandated to become completely trans fat free. Artuso's was no exception to the new rule and as a result, we were forced to eliminate any trans fats from our products. This was not easy of course, but we put our heads together and found suitable alternatives that would allow our products to comply with the law while still maintaining their outstanding integrity.

Artuso founder Vincent F. Artuso, Sr. started the American dream when he migrated to the states from Reggio di Calabria, Italy in 1930. By 1946, his dream became a reality when he proudly opened Artuso Pasty Shop in New York’s famous Little Italy, Bronx NY. In 1996, they opened a wholesale manufacturing facility in Mt. Vernon, NY, where their authentic Italian desserts are shipped to premium retailers and foodservice establishments nationwide. In February 2013, they unveiled a new retail bakery & café in Mamaroneck, NY. Featuring sit down tables and outdoor seating, customers can enjoy espresso, cappuccino, American coffee and other beverages to compliment a wide selection of their handmade Italian and American desserts. Today, Artuso’s remains a family-owned and operated New York fixture and is enjoying its fourth generation. Artuso’s commitment to superior quality has rendered countless awards and recognitions. All of these accolades are further proof that Artuso Pastry is more than just a family success story – it’s an American success story.
